An introduction to the animation technique of Stopmotion
In this workshop, participants will be introduced to the process for creating film using the Stopmotion Animation technique and have the opportunity to produce some animated footage under the guidance of an academy award winning animator.
Residing in Brisbane, Australia, Jason Lynch is an Academy award winning Stop-motion Animator (Wallace and Gromit 2006) with experience ranging from Feature Film, Short Film, TVC, TV series and teaching from across the world.
With a passion for all things stop-motion, his skills ranges from pre-vis, pre-prod (puppet and set build) through to Production and Edit. The majority of his experience is in plasticine owing to his work on 'Wallace and Gromit' and 'Mary and Max'. He also has strong skills in 2D animation (drawn and Flash) as well as, Live action Film and Medical Documentary and illustration. Aside from animation Degree, he also holds a Nursing degree and Certificate IV in adult training and assessment and teaches both Nursing and Animation in Brisbane.
